Ok so unless you no this link.......
https://www.fabswingers.com/content/forum-rules
The forum rules seem to be impossible to akses.
At lest on a mobile anyway I'm not Shor about pc....
Wood it be a good idear to add a tab at the top of the forum list that takes you to the rules ???
If the rules got pind to the top of the main forum page.
It wood make mods and admins lives easyarr cos thay wood not haf to keep telling people of for braking them. As new and old people will be able to akses them and see them.
Even now thar is no way to see the rules unles you no that link.... Witch a new member is never going to no.
At the moment thar are Onley 2 tabs at the top of the main forum page. Thay are......
#Recent threads you posted to
And
#Forum search.
If you add a tab clearly named forum rules that took you straight to the rules thar wood be no excuse for anyone to brake them. As people will be able to find and see them with ezz. And the people that did brak them wood have clearly broke them on purpose.
But rite no the rules are almost impossible to find so as a result anyone can brake them under the clam that thay had no idear of the rules. Witch most onistley don't no the rules. Sum don't even no Thar are rules in the 1st place.
How can anyone no the rules of the forum,s if the rules are not on show and carnt be found in the 1st place. ?
Just post...yes.... if you agree. |

The thing is countless threads have been started about various suggestions but rarely is something implemented. We just need to wait for the powers that be to decide these thing's.
People break rules anyway even if it's plastered under their noses. |

It also depends on how one person reads the rules compared to another, I've been put on the naughty step for saying things that I didn't think was breaking the rules when others have said similar comments and got away with it,
Just removing the comments should be enough and time outs for repeat offenders |

Also a link or a copy of the post that lead to the ban, in the 'banning email' to make it clearer what the ban was for. |

Does it really matter? I think it's a bit sad even to care. It's an online forum. If you get a ban for a day or a few, then so what?
It's hardly life changing or important is it?
And if they tell you in detail, then they will have to employ someone to do that, and then someone to answer the appeals. And that will raise costs, and then the site will stop being free to use.

I did think about making the rules a sticky thread that people had to read before they could post on any of the forums.
Maybe have a "yes I've read the rules" tick box which then allowed people to post.
I know they'd still skim to the end and tick the box, but no one could say "I've never seen the rules" |

Does this not still rely on someone actually reading them, regardless of where they are?? |
Reply privately (thread closed by moderator) | |
Yes, it would be an idea to have them easier to access, but maybe a re-writing of them is in order too, to make them less ambiguous - you can fall foul of the rules whilst trying to adhere to them!! |

Forum Mod O o O oo |
You can't force people to read the rules, most people say they know them then give the wrong advice to people on the forum about them/ break them themselves and end up banned so I am not sure it would make any difference where the rules were.
Four people who say they know the rules broke them on this thread one of which said " see you in a couple of days" so it proves my point.
https://www.fabswingers.com/content/forum-rules
Here are the forum rules if anyone wants to read them. Admin are aware they are not on the mobile option and if they decide to put them on there I am sure they will let us all know.
