The one I worked at ('79 -'82) was huge. It had a cheese and meat counters, furniture and all the usual Woolies things.
When I was little the pick & mix counter looked like it had every sweet ever created. It was right by one of the entrances and just about everyone would swipe sweets from it as they left the store. No wonder they went out of business.

Littlewoods was good to as they had quality street  "
Absolutely this! The one in Littlewoods in Aberdeen was near the door, and if I remember rightly had a big oval centre bit that you could walk round with load of layers, then some against the wall too. My mum and I used to meet my Granma in the cafe for breakfast then she would pay for a a massive pick n mix for me that I would share with only her! |

Littlewoods was good to as they had quality street
Absolutely this! The one in Littlewoods in Aberdeen was near the door, and if I remember rightly had a big oval centre bit that you could walk round with load of layers, then some against the wall too.
