Revenge porn and sharing videos

I was reading an article about revenge porn on the bbc website this evening.

One thing that I find incredibly off putting is when a guy sends me a video of them fucking or being sucks off by another woman (or man).

I often wonder where they would actually stand with this? How likely is it that they actually have the permission of the other person in the video to share it?

I wonder where they would stand if this got back to the person in the video and whether it would be considered a crime under the revenge porn law?

(I use the genders of the people I have come across in this situation but sure it happens equally for all genders)

I’m just interested in people’s thoughts etc.

In a sleepy little village

This is one reason why I never take video footage !!

I've had a few guys send me graphic videos , the latest was yesterday in an attempt to gain my attention. He did ... via the block button. It tells me he's not the type of person I'd like to spend time with so I use it as a filter as I'm sure not all are taken with consent

It could be. If it is disclosed (sent or shown to someone else) without the subject’s consent, and if the person showing it is doing it either specifically to upset the subject, it is reckless about whether it would upset them, it would fall foul of the legislation.

.

However, it would be very unlikely that somebody would ever be caught in that set of circumstances; take the pictures or videos you’ve been sent; can you identify the person sending them? Do you really know who they are? Can you identify the other people in the pictures or videos? There’s no way the Police are going to devote resources to finding out when there may not even be a crime.

.

Bottom line; don’t take or share photos or videos where you can be identified unless you’ve got absolute control over them.

.

It’s worth noting as well; someone isn’t breaching the ‘revenge porn laws’ if they share your fab gallery pictures, possibly even the ‘friends only’ ones.

This is why I think that only couples on here should be able to share action pics or those with more than one person in.

You never know if the others have permission even if the face is blocked.

Durham

I have morals and would never, ever share any moments we have had. Had some horrible things happen with ex girlfriends but still would not do that to them.

Other ways of revenge sweeter
