Just been informed im a very calm and collective person
5 ltr container of white paint all over a blue carpet...
I raised my voice (in shock), removed child from situation into bath, cleaned up as best i could and phoned insurance company.
Pointless fretting over something that cant be changed once its done right??
How do you deal with lifes hiccups? |

I think you do become more tolerant if you are a parent.
Many who have had toast posted through the video recorder/dvd slot and alphabetti spaghetti spat back in their face will agree.
I find sitting in a corner sucking a thumb works best for me.
Oh and washable sofa covers.
On a more serious note, lifes hiccups are just that, hiccups, not life threatening. There's always a worse case scenario. xx |

my fault entirely, i had recently done some touching up in her room and put the paint in a cupboard.. she moved the chair to the cupboard and pulled it down.
wasnt high enough out of reach.. the paint fell, splatted open and she wanted to paint like i did.
all in the space of 5 mins max as i prepared her lunch. lesson learnt |

stress does nothing for anyone, i used to be irrational over silly things but always calm in an emergency or when something vital needed to be done, just have a problem taking anything seriously until it does. |

Thing is kids are kids, they will always poke their fingers into stuff they not supposed to
if people dont want their kids to mes about with stuff either move it or get a extra pair of eyes up your arse to watch the kid lol
but your right, yelling at and hitting kids dont solve bugger all so whats the point |

OMG!!
I'm like that- so flippant its untrue but in an emergency I am great. Then fall apart afterwards
But to answer the OP- stressing ain't gonna change the outcome, so why stress? |

I take a deep breath, let it out as slowly as I possibly can until there's no air left in my body at all, and hey presto, hiccups are gone! |
