Can anyone tell me where to get a spare leg for my dining table please. It has four legs but I worry that one will fall off.

I have an issue with my car, can anyone helps me to fix it ? It won't start.

Has anyone a bit of diesel to lend me?

Split one of the other legs down the middle, now you have 2

First place I always go to when I’m looking for an electrician, is to message strangers on a swinging site.

If the new shower is the same power as the original then it may be something like loose connections in the isolation switch. They may have melted and so are in a dangerous condition.

You need a competent person to look at the connections in the switch on the ceiling and in the consumer unit (fuse box).

Maybe your table needs a leg over

It's probably the wiring in the pull switch. Mine kept tripping as the wires weren't screwed down properly and kept arcing. Start there.

My guttering needs a thorough cleaning out. When it gets wet it drips loudly and annoyingly.

It may be that your RCD is weak due to the continual tripping previously (at the end of the day its only a spring).

The trips are designed to trip out if there is a short to earth.

With your shower its most likely water coming into contact with the neutral.

You may need a sparks to test both and if its the RCD, replace it for you.

"hi for some reason my shower is keep tripping ive had a my old shower replaced as it was keep tripping and now my new shower is doing the same any sparkys on "

Check the fuse rating of your rcd. You may find your fuse box cannot cope with the extra current drawn from a more modern shower.

Normally showers should have heavy duty cabling similar to ovens and rated as such.

The shower and pipe should be earthed too.

.

It could be loose connections or the RCD,

Leave it turned off until you can get someone to look at it for you, If you can smell burning call a 24h spark

no, 5ft is average height of human, hold a brick drop it into said bowl hopefully smashing it to bits and causing some good lulz no need to levitate

I once had the same problem with a new shower, luckily it was a rented property, the landlord said don't touch it with your tongue it could be dangerous, so I moved out, problem solved, the shower in the new place worked perfectly.

Residual current device. It's the thing that stops you being electrocuted. That'll be £75, Granny.

Firstly, what's tripping

The MCB or the RCD?.

They both trip for different reasons and will help you point to what the problem might be
