Or is it downhill from here? I turned 40 on the 18th... Don't feel it, but what's your opinions on the older(ish) gent? Be good to here what your opinions.
Thanks all |

No, life begins when you want it to. If you put doing things on hold until (delete as appropriate) the kids have left home/the mortgage is paid off/I’ve retired etc then personally I feel for you.
Grab life by the balls and do what you want today |

I think 40 is not at all old but you do have the benefits of acquired wisdom and experience to draw on....assuming you aren't foolish and don't learn anything. |

That's a helluva sensible post from a man who has to walk around holding his own pants up. |

"Age is only a number buddy.
Oh, and a devastatingly accurate chronological record of how old and decreped you are.

"I’ll let you know in 12 years time.. you old git
Oi!! Apparently I ain't old.. A git maybe... But not old "
I can make you feel better by saying age is just a number but that’s not true lol
There are big numbers and small numbers.. it’s all about numbers |

I've done a lot in my life and had plenty of unique experiences. I've been rock bottom and on the streets and I've come through a lot of difficult situations. Lived all around the UK and not really been in the same town for more than a few years.. Itchy feet I got. Not sweaty feet but very itchy. Is it time to settle down?? I don't have kids or any ties in one place really... So maybe a bit more exploring left in me yet.
I loved working and living in hotels and the fun and frolicks I've had with the foreign workers was amazing... The live in hotel workers.. Let's just say... Very good times indeed |

I couldn't agree more.
Life begins when you're born and ends when you die what happens in the interim is largely down to the individual. |

For me, life began when I started taking responsibility for my future...
It was about 25-26
Since then, I’ve had the craziest years of my life, met some awesome people, and turned a hobby into a career...
However... if life really does begin at 40...
I can’t fucking wait |

I'm not whinging lol. Just asking a question. I've lived a pretty interesting life and hopefully plenty more adventures to be had. I don't feel old and I do live life to how I want.. Hense I've had a few downs. Mistakes have been made but my mistakes and learnt from them. I've never been scared of making decisions that are risky and dangerous. Its been fun and it will be fun till I can't wipe my own butt. |

I didn't drink from 24-28. One of the worst decisions I ever made.
Back with a vengeance now. |

Does it depend on age?? For me yes I’m far happier now then I was in my 30’s... but that’s because of personal choices I have made...
I made the decision to make my life better and not just settle... but I don’t think that’s because I hit 40!!! I just decided it was now or never!!
Don’t let age define you! Just be you... that’s what I’m doing and if others don’t like it... well they can just jog on!!! Life is too short to waste!!! |

Yes, life does begin at 40
Certainly our swinging life did.
I also think that by 40 you are generally happier in yourself, children are usually older and you you are still you enough to really enjoy life.

Pleasure! Plus definitely most of us never feel our age. Keep laughing and that’s the best anti ageing prescription ever |
