Grosegeon again! "Ericsson hit me!" Yes, he nearly did hit your wreckage! Stupid twat! Huge bad luck for Bottas with the puncture after letting Vettel hang himself on the re-start. First win for Hamilton?

So you only class racers who I’ve gotten on the podium as great drivers? I’d like to see if you could take any F1 car around 1 lap of any circuit at full speed.
Hamilton has worked all his life to get where he is. People seem to think he walked into F1 from the dole office and was given the best car on the track and won 4 championships |

If you saw the first post race interview, Hamilton said it was Bottas who deserved to be first, not himself. He didn`t celebrate like he would have done had he won it fair and square. Far from being jumped up, he works bloody hard and getting where he is and doesn't take it out on other drivers like a certain German driver! |

To me, and this is just me: you don’t win anything by being passive and that is in all sports.
Can’t understand why a “want to win “ equates to arrogance or being a shit.
You play on the edge, if you don’t do, do you become just another armchair critic?
Okay he was lucky, wonder if it is part of balance of the times when luck wasn’t on his side.

Hoping for Lewis and Bottas (sounds like a username on here?) too.
Never really understood the dislike for Lewis, and really surprised by it on here. I think he's really misunderstood.
McLaren are getting upgrades but I'm not expecting much. Been supporting them since they became underdogs. For Alonso's sake, for all he's been through I root for him. Their 'reeeeace peeeace' (as pronounced by Coulthard) is well good and they could fly, but will prob be stuck behind other cars.
How on earth have Williams fallen all the way to the bottom again?!!
After their usual slow start to the season Force India are starting to find their stride. Yet to see much from Ocon who I hope can crush Perez.
After their usual fast start, HAAS are slipping.
Ferrari will ultimately take the titles I think... |

McLaren have offered Danny Ric 30 million a year to drive for them.
And with Bottas, Hamilton and Kimis contract coming to an end (although I doubt Hamilton will Leave) he's going to be very in demand so I think he's going to drive his arse off.
Hope he goes to Mercedes. Be great to see him along side Hamilton |

Aww what a crock of s*** calling off qualifying again cos the track isn't bone dry!
I remember the 1999 French GP when it was washed out, yet they still qualified and there was a massively mixed up grid, leading to a great race. |

Oh man what a mess poor McLaren are in. Always said it was a short sighted mistake to dump Honda.
Grosjean still no points while KMag now has 27.
All those cars driving off the track and straight back on is really taking the p. Bring back grass and gravel now so mistakes are punished. This is supposed to be the most difficult challenge on earth, of something like that.
Amazing how people wrote off 20 yr old Charles Leclerc after the first two races! Now in the points again. |

For the last couple of seasons they've been saying their chassis was up their with Red Bulls but it was only the Honda engine that was letting them down. Going by this season, it appears that statement was total bollocks. |

My bet is Danny Ric will go to Mercedes and replace Bottas. I can't see Vettel wanting him at Ferrari when he's already out preformed him the last time they was team mates.
Alonso will be more likely to go and do Indy500 or another racing series full time |

No one interested?
For those who are I'll give a quick rundown then
Max Verstappen - Red Bull - 1st:
Yep it was always gunna come together sooner or later. Does make you wonder maybe more years in junior series are good so you learn the craft there.
Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari - 2nd
Nice job but the old Kimi would have won? Shame he was pushed wide by Max at the start, how costly was that?
Sebastian Vettel Ferrari - 3rd
Good recovery, passed Hamilton on track, fair play!
Romain Grosjean HAAS 4th
The American teams best ever result! Nice to see.
Kevin Magnussen HAAS 5th
4 x top 6 finishes in 9 races! A seeming transformation here. Have no idea how good he really is though, but is now cementing what was at one time an uncertain future.
Esteban Icon Ford India 6th
Widely tipped to play a big role in this generation, his season still hasn't really got off the ground yet but this was a good outing.
Sergio Perez Force India 7th
Decent but hopefully getting outshone by Ocon.
Fernando Alonso McLaren - 8th
Well 4 points for 8th is something I guess. What dire times these are
Charles Leclerc Sauber - 9th
Yay more points and a Ferrari contract if rumours are to be believed.
Marcus Ericsson Sauber - 10th
Quite a solid driver now IMO, never too fat from points on raceday.
Others
Pierre Gasly Toro Rosso
Honda looking decent now, I will always maintain McLaren made a massive error dumping them, especially for a Renault.
Carlos Sainz Renault - 12th
6 top 10 finishes in a row come to an end. Not sure how he ended up so far down.
Sergey Sirotkin Williams - 13th
I like him, he seems humble and diligent, its not his fault he got the drive. Doing the best he can. 13th is now his best finish in Formula 1.
Lance Stroll Williams - 14th
A rough job trying to lead the team. Bad says indeed.
Retirements
Stoffel Vandoorne McLaren
Struggled to impress again, needs more time.
Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
First DNF since the infamous Malaysia 2016 fire. Crestfallen when a sure win went down the pan but good attitude afterwards.
Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull
Probably the end of an outside title challenge but that's how it goes.
Valtteri Bottas Mercedes
Poor Bottas its not working out for him, doing well IMO but not 6th in the championship standings.
Brendon Hartley Toro Rosso
Same here, things going wrong left and right. Better than he looks. Very likeable and very technically proficienf apparently.
Nico Hulkenberg Renault
Out again and again not his fault.
Losing early momentum in this championship.
