almost every profile has this disclaimer, how about if I’m from Oxford, Cambridge or any other university?

Is this disclaimer just a faf?

The whole thing is a scam. Much like the nonsense people copy and paste to the facebook profiles.

The Sydney University ‘warning’ was written by a couple of people to prove a point about human behaviour. People will copy and paste any old nonsense they read, unaware that ALL they are doing is making their profile easier to find on search engines. Sydney University has no interest in Fab or any other similar sites, and never has.

Legally, the ‘warning’ is entirely ineffective. It means nothing, it’s utterly worthless, and offers no legal protection whatsoever. Nor does anything similar anyone has ever posted on facebook. Even better are the numpties who have pasted a facebook warning into their profiles and not bothered changing it to say ‘FabSwingers’.
