IPhone porn texts

The last 3 days I am getting porn texts from numbers with links in the message box- one even came up with a name rather than numbers!!

I rang 02 and said how has my number been given to these companies and can they be blocked?. The reply is no they can't be blocked and I have to report each one individually..

Has anyone any idea how to stop these and how it started in the first place- I would hate for a young child to get this type of text..

they use a device or computer programme that generates random phone numbers hoping that some will respond.

Just the same as you will still recieve marketing calls despite being TPS registered, its oillegal in the US to use such a device not sure if it is here in the UK, but as most of these calls are from abroad any way nothing can really stop them
