so today I overhear my workmates, about the alfie case..then they see the theresa may 'statement' that the state owns our children..

I knew this was fake...and then seen it was from a christian satire site..

to those I confronted...they said, that's what the government believes.....I tried to argue..it's still 'FAKE' news...the source even states it is a satirical website.......

whether its a question of politics, ethics etc etc..I'm not calling people 'stupid'..but when a source tells you IT is responsible for something not true, why post as something true?

flummoxed.

I'm continually flummoxed by people's ability to believe what they want to believe despite evidence to the contrary being under their nose.

It's because people hate being shown up for being wrong. They know they're been fooled but won't back down on the issue because they want to believe it.

Honestly when I first heard it, I thought, this cant be true...

but a doubt in my mind thought I was wrong lol

even though I've been seeing similar types of stories that regard other people/groups..

people are even sharing pics of 'missing' kids today..missing kids..found a few months ago, or years that..obviously arent missing and are safe.

I know its not easy to research news when playing candycrush etc..but I'm wagering facebook users rarely even see a post that doesnt come from any multiple news sources..

That’s called cognitive dissonance. You’re welcome

You are discovering how easy it is to manipulate opinion through the medium of the interenet.

Lots of different agenda out there, all surreptitiously creating fake news to achieve some sort of social or political objective.

We have a fake Southend news site that pops up on Facebook with some really funny fake news. The amount of people who thinks it's real is astonishing.

I find it hard to believe that anybody could think that anyone involved in that particular tragic case, thinks of the poor little mite as property to be disposed of. Whether or not a person agrees or disagrees with decisions that have been taken, there can be no doubt that the babies best interests were foremost in the minds of doctors, lawyers, judges and,of course, parents.

Quite possibly, anybody who would wish to criticize those decisions as uncaring or callous,is trying to make some kind of political capital out of a tragedy.

Fake news has existed since the birth of the printing press. It's a way to control the masses.
