to shrink it to fit? i bought this flat cap and its too big for me. i read online somewhere u can shrink them in the wash.
so i washed it and its defo shrunk. was about 2 inches too big before and now its about half an inch off being a perfect fit. can you wash them again for the same results? or isit a 1 time deal |

Usually a one time deal I think. However tumble drying shrinks too, if you can tumble dry it that is.
Years ago my dad always reshaped his hat over the steam from the kettle. |

from what am reading, seems heat is my best way of maximum shrinkage. all i did before was put it on a cold wash and let it air dry.
apparantly a hot wash and a hot dry gives alot better results. i only need another 1/2 inch tho so am scared of over-doing it now |

got caught in a summer shower wearing me floppy hat and it is extremely floppy now! |
