Let's get this out there, this is not a whinge, anybody's reasons for blocking someone are absolutely valid and right.
What's the point of this then, well it's just that I've viewed two profiles today to find that I was blocked, I don't ever recall interacting with one and I think only positive communication with the other, which has just left me wondering why; and that's where the frustration comes.
I wish it would come up with,
User has blocked you because you have a small cock, or user has blocked you for owning every Status Quo album.
As I say not a whinge, more, I only wished I knew. |

There and to the left a bit |
I've come across profiles that I'm blocked from in the past, despite no interaction etc and have just always put it down to either they've viewed my profile and decided I'm not for them, which is fine, or perhaps I've said something on the forums that rankled with them for some reason, which is again fine - don't give it any more thought than that to be honest - no point sweating the small stuff as the saying goes |

"Paranoia.
Insecurity.
Not wanting you to look at their profile after they act like cunts on the forum.
They block every one who pops up on who is near. "
All valid, and I guess they wouldn't communicate them.
Good use of the cunt word by the way. |

We've been blocked by a few forumites that we've had no interaction with apart from posting on a thread. We've recently started doing it too when people body shame, or by reading between the lines (and profile) can see that they're racist or homophobic. It's Fab and it's no different to avoiding or blanking people in the real world that you disagree with. |

Whenever there's a thread about blocking I'll check the profiles to see if I've been blocked! I've been blocked by quite a lot of people because of my forum posts, I just counterblock them and that's the end of it. |

"Or maybe they thought you'd be the type to whinge on the forums
Oi i love a good whinge on the forums lol ."
It's not a bloody whinge
And if one person says, oh I think he doth protest too much, I'll take my toy digger and go and play in the sandpit on my own

Forum blocks I don't understand the point of it because you can still see the persons posts. It's just the blockers way of saying yeah I think you're a dick and like I said, I've acquired lots of blocks that way |

C'mon own up, how many times did you look at her pics before she blocked you? |

I find it funny when that happens. Makes me wonder what it was that hurt their feelings. |

Yes I think my forum posts have seen me blocked by a couple of people. Oh well. |

Bristol East |
I had a post in the Spain forum looking for feedback about Bilbao, where I am this week.
I received a private message from a chap with a couple of bland sentences about being here a few times.
Cool, I thought, I'll ask him if he knows of iany interesting places to go.
Blocked by user, the screen announced.
How peculiar, I thought.

It's like the stranger next to you on the bus. You might exchange a few words and a smile but even if you take the same bus every day it doesn't mean you have to ever speak to each other again. There's no sinister reason for this. |

We block for a variety of reasons but increasingly so for certain forum users. The forums often give you a good idea of what people are really like. It is a good way of filtering out people you telly do not wish to meet. |

People often block others because they....
A can’t deal with the other parties awesome
B know that the other party cannot deal with their awesomeness. It’s often kinder that way |

I block forumites who annoy me in the forums! I picked up the habit from other forumites who have not appreciated me having a different opinion to them |

In all the time I have been on here I have never found the need or a reason to block anyone.....
Maybe the sensitive souls who block because they don't like a picture a profile a forum comment or because there is a "d" in the day have a different view of the world; as is their choice...
But they are the ones who close doors or decline to interact with others for whatever reasons they consider vaild.
If they don't want to interact with others it's their choice and maybe on occasion their loss. But such is the nature of fab....and to try to discern anyone's motivation for their actions is an exercise in pointlessness.
After all why would I want to connect with anyone who doesn't want to interact with me. I don't need a block button to do that.
And those who block they close a door that they will never open again...
But what do they potentially lose by doing so?

I don't want to waste time interacting with people that aren't compatible. Doesn't make me a sensitive soul though. And certainly not missing out as those I'm interested in talking to can still contact me. I really don't follow your logic. |

My block list has two functions.
To block those who are rude, abusive or generally gross.
To filter out people I'm not interested in.
I often block people I've never even spoken to, makes for a great filter
