So today is the first ever national asparagus day!
It is also the start of the Great British Asparagus Festival that runs until June and sees the first round of asparagus being taken from the fleece in (one if the oldest pubs in the country) to Cheltenham racecourse on the newly re-opened railroad from Broadway.
