55 seems a good age to retire at. You’re still young enough to enjoy it,
I can’t see me being able to afford it when I get there though, so thinking it’ll be 60. Sigh. |

Soon as possible! Aiming for 45.. I'll be scum lord instead...but i don't count that as working... Just living on others peoples misery....in a hot country!

I retired in 2014. My workplace asked for volunteers for redundancy, I applied and the rest is history. I still work occasionally if they have a busy time or a particular project that needs an extra hand.
Mr N retired in 2015.
We're lucky in that we have small private pensions that give us an income.
I wouldn't go back to full time work for anything less than £100,000.00 a week and it's highly unlikely anyone would offer me even a fraction of that |

When you feel ready to give up work and can afford to.
If you have property, rent it out and move to a country where the rental income provides a decent lifestyle. |

I can’t see an end age in sight for me, I work with the elderly so I am hoping whichever job I am doing it won’t be the same one as this as I don’t think i’d be able to deliver some of the activities I do at 70 lol.
