Same. I think it's because I'm ultra careful who I meet. None of this needing to mess about with socials so I have to be 100% right about someone. It seems to make a difference. |

I think I just bore the fuck out of people with inane chit chat to start with so by the time I get around to suggesting a meet I've ed out the flaky ones and only the determined are left standing."

I'd never ever make plans and simply not show up.
If anything cane up that was important enough to cancel I'd always let a person know with a legitimate excuse.

Yep. I like to think I'm pretty thorough in the making sure they ain't fake malarkey. No, not fake, had video chats the lot. Just no show, no apology, nothing. Wasted money on hair dye and new razor blades too. Doesn't seem much but it is when you don't have much and are praying for payday to wriggle on. |

True Ruby , but it is a shame there isnt a way to leave negative feedback ,like ebay and tripadvisor, we have been on here for years and on the whole has been great, and we feel that we can usually sniff out a bullshitter, but we were caught out yesterday,and still feeling pretty miffed, move on.. yes we will but still pisses you off that someone intentionaly messes up your day with no recourse... |

I think there would be a lot of objections but I would be all for an enhanced verification/feedback system, if it worked fairly.
I would also be happy to pay more for fab to give a better user experience but I know how unpopular that is on here. |

I only had a social if I had doubts, I should have gone with my gut. Socials never turned into meets. Well apart from Swing but that wasn’t a social with a meet in mind. We had an opportunity to meet the person behind the profile and took it |

Bad luck too obviously played a part. Did you chat on phone and stuff like that first?? If I ever meet anyone I usually want it to be somewhere neutral for us both too. I’m a bit wary of turning up at someone’s house when I’ve never met them - worried they’ve given a fake address and are secretly watching and laughing at me
