Who on here is getting fed up of receiving winks.

Basically it is for shit bags that haven't got the decency to message you, as they hardly ever do.

You can block almost everything else, except blocking winks that i don't wanna receive x

I'd prefer to turn off friend invites from people who I've never spoken too

I've had some good meets that started with winks.

It's a case of each to their own.

It's just another function of the site to use how you please.

Wish i could put a block to straight guys from contacting me, half of them state their straight, have trannys as friends, and been verified by them as well.

I love winks. When you send polite well written messages and get no response all the time it’s a good way to try and catch somebody’s eye

Everyone uses different parts of the site differently.

It does baffle me how some people can have such a strop about something they don't even have to look at.

Winks are a great way of showing innitial interest. You could simply not check them is they’re that much annoying you. Wouldn’t call those that use it “shit bags” as it’s a preference of communication on this site, like sending a message or veiwing someones profile.

Guys cant win.

Women complain about receiving too many messages (sometimes in the hundreds), so rather than contribute to the long list of messages most of which dont get read a guy will send a polite wink instead and then get called a shitbag lol

"Wish i could put a block to straight guys from contacting me, half of them state their straight, have trannys as friends, and been verified by them as well."

To think somebody who has "trannys" as friends cannot be straight is a big assumption. Whatever is wrong with just treating people as people?

I tend not to bother looking, even when they're from ladies. If you're interested at least make an effort.

So a guy cant be straight if he has any TS friends?

As for veris if they are friends why cant they veri each other?

Many people veri one another from clubs without actually meeting.

A wink is just a way to see if there is a mutual interest.... rather than write out a long, comprehensive message only for it to be deleted with no acknowledgement... now THAT is annoying!!

Haven't you learned yet? Single men are always wrong, in everything they do, even (especially) if they're doing exactly what they've been told to do.

If you don't like them, don't look at them. Then set your mail preferences so that you don't recieve a notification. Problem solved!! Although i'm willing to bet you'll still have a look. Then strop again for getting attention!

A lot of people on here would rather a lot of thungs were different, many of them being things you can't completely ignore without it affecting your use of the site in any way, so I'll tell you, and the OP, exactly what I usually get told when I complain about something.

Get over it.

The best course of action is to just not look at them then. I didn't bother with them for the first 3 years I was on Fab, but now I look at them to see if there's anyone I would potentially like to meet and delete anyone else.

I don't send winks myself though.

We would rather get a wink than a crap opening message. If we like the winker we wink back and the ball starts rolling.

I like winks. I send them as well, not because I'm a shit bag but because it's a quick easy way to establish initial attraction if they wink back. Just ignore if you don't like them.

All seems to have have ended up fairly well for myself, as i have had a few people private message me on this subject, that possibly could lead to some potential meets.

So looks like my moan has served me well.

I don't think it's lazy. I'd rather an initial wink than a message if I'm honest. It saves the hurt feelings.

"Shitbags who dint have the decency to message"?

But harsh. Maybe it's for people who are a little uncertain and lack confidence? Or an ice breaker to gauge interest if a profile winks back?

I admit I'm never sure if I'm supposed to wink back or message...but I can utilise fabs mist useful tool if it bothers me....ignore?

We like winks. They are usually an efficient way to gauge mutual interest.

Every good meet we’ve had here so far started with a wink.
