It would have to be Jimi Hendrix.
I was on the Isle Of Wight on holiday with my mum and dad in 1970 when Hendrix was on. We could hear Hendrix playing, but the sound system was rubbish. Would love to watch and listen with Hendrix playing through a modern concert sound system. |

"How about a classical composer like Beethoven or Mozart? Interesting to hear what they would do with modern musical technologies and collaborations with present day musicians. "
I think they'd marvel at the electro genisis |

So difficult to pick just one. Freddie Mercury, Bob Marley or Jon Bonham.
In the end I would go with Hendrix. Would love to see what he could do now in an age with so many new pedals and guitar technology. |

"Hendrix and Zappa. Together "
Now there's a thought. Two of the greatest guitarists i have ever heard playing together. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Zappa and Hendrix had met at some point |

They did. I've seen an interview with Frank talking about it |

I just watched it i think. Are you talking about when Zappa lived in New York, Buddy Miles and Hendrix paid him a visit ? |

Have seen AC/DC with Bon Scott, Queen with Freddie, Led Zep with John Bonham, and although I was lucky enough to have seen Stevie Ray Vaughan the year before he left us, I think I would have to pick SRV |

"As much as I would love to see Brian Jones back with The Rolling Stones, I would have to go with Buddy Holly!"
Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Richie Valentino would be an amazing show. |

Any of the orchestra on the Titanic. The way they carried on playing when the ship went down; they deserve a break.
If they can't decide which one will come back I'd go for Buddy Holly. |

"Lemmy Kilmister, just to be down the front again at one more Motorhead gig would be awesome "
That. I was finally going to get to see Motorhead live that year, and then he died. What a selfish bastard. |

"1. Robert Johnson. The Devil's music.
2. Clarence 'Big Man' Clemons. Springsteen's Saxophonist
3. Ian Dury"
I debated saying Clarence too, I wanted to see the E-Street Band live. |

I knew you had taste Blanche x
Best Springsteen show I saw was Wrecking Ball tour (1st without him) his son was doing the Saxophone and there was a nice tribute during 10th Avenue Freeze Out,
but still,
I kept looking over,
and not seeing him,
It was just too big of a gap to fill. |

Their music is timeless and he was way too young when he died!!
I grew up listening to T-rex
Lucky you!!
Thanks I’ll look out for trextasy!

Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury or Michael Jackson....3 of the greatest showmen who ever lived regardless of their troubled private lives or your main tastes in music...you all know a song one of these guys sang.
I was fortunate enough to see MJ live and it blew me away. I have seen some of the biggest bands in the world live since then but nothing compares |

All good choices but there are good quality recordings available of them (yes, I know it's not the same) so I'm going to reach back a little further in time and day Enrico Caruso, he was very well regarded in his time and I'd like to hear what the fuss was about. Crackly old 78s just aren't good enough.

He’s still going but if it was anyone from anytime then Springsteen from about 1982.
If it has to be someone who’s died, Johnny Cash would take some beating - supported by Orbison and the King. God, I must have been a red neck in a former life! |
