my daughter has just texted me to say her neigbours have just spent the day putting up lights and sparkly things in the window for ch.. umm xm.. that celebration near the end of december..( dont want to say the word incase someone puts out a hit on me) 
anyone else seen this happening near them???

a couple of houses near me don't take them all down, but looking at how many they have on each year i don't think i'd want to take them all down.
I've know a few people people who seem to always put them up on the 1st of November

Yep! House near me put lights on a fir tree in their front garden about thre weeks ago. But then they always do it very year.
There are quite a few around that don't take em down but they don't turn them on yet.

I never put decs or lights up and have never really bought into that side of Crimbo.
Neither do I do the whole cards for everyone thing - personal cards for nearest and dearest only.
I enjoy the family time and love the warmth that it brings.
I also enjoy the Christmas markets, well to be more exact, the stollen and the mulled wine.
So there may be a 'bah' but not necessarily a 'humbug' this end  |
