I find it amusing how both men and women say they deleted all their messages by accident or deleted their accounts.... Ffs the site warns if you're about to delete a message/s and with regards to your account, asks you for your password and says 'Are you sure'..... YOU CAN NOT ACCIDENTALLY DELETE lol...

I've deleted all messages by mistake before. It is very easily done.

You can. The warning that shows up for "delete all read mail" looks the same as the one for "delete all mail". So if you think you've clicked the first one you then click yes on the warning without thinking.

Me too!! It’s different on a mobile than desktop too. I’ve gone to hit ‘mark unread’ to come back to a message later & hit ‘delete thread’ by accident - and that doesn’t ask if you’re sure!!

I think this was more in the ‘calm down dear, it’s only a commercial’ style
