Throat is in agony, can't swallow, glands are swollen, neck looks like a bodybuilder. How can I tell my doctor I sustained this throat injury because o definitely think I need antibiotics. Been googling deepthroat and tonsil injuries and it says when the tissue is damaged it can lead to infection.
Can't exactly tell my family doctor it's from being throat fucked by a large penis. It was good at the time, didn't hurt or nothing but yesterday and today, Jesus Christ it's hurting, or will it just go on it's own? I've been gargling salt water and taking paracetamol. |

I wouldn't offer an explanation to the doctor for all he/she knows you could have wolfed down a large chunk of a crusty baguette that caught in your throat, or a slice of a super hot pizza that has injured you.
I would get seen though if its causing you discomfort and isn't easing.

I go to the clinic whenever I get std checks it's a separate place to my gp.
Will the pain go on it's own in a few days? Is it normal to have pain like that? |

Unless there's visible signs of a battering the doctor won't be aware you were throat fucked.
It's possible you picked up an infection from the air anyway.
Since Jan 1st I've had an ear infection that made me glands swell, bacterial tonsilitis that made my glands swell, and now have a horrid ear, nose and throat infection that is making my glands swell.

OP I wouldn’t exactly put it that way, however if you believe you have caused an injury to your throat you should see your GP and I am sure that they won’t bat an eyelid if you state what caused your injury. |

As a suggestion u could speak to a PUSH doctor. Ive used the service before and they are fast and efficient and u can ask for a specific doctor - it’s all online and face to face. Then just pick up ur meds at a pharmacy of ur choosing.

What do you think antibiotics could do?? Antibiotics are for bacterial infections not because you have had a cock thrust in your throat. Get some difflam spray from the pharmacy, regular analgesia and maybe some tyrozettes. A dr wouldn't tell you to do any more than that anyway |

Unless you tell your GP about the potential sexual link, he/she is unlikely to consider it as a differential diagnosis.
Book an appointment at the local GU clinic and see them in confidence; they can run any appropriate tests, have microscopes and access to the hospital path lab for rapid diagnostic tests.
There are a couple of very serious STIs associated with severe sore throats and enlarged glands, it's important to exclude these and get the correct treatment.

You could have symptoms after a couple of days, so one day sounds pretty unlikely imo. If you had the rigorous bashing that it seems, then it's likely the result of opportunistic infection taking hold upon damaged tissues. |

I didn't tell him, just said my throat has been sore since yesterday and glands feel swollen and can't swallow. He just looked down my throat and said he could see puss on my tonsils both sides and they were swollen. |

You don’t have to say anything I got tonsillitis from the same once... went to drs and they just diagnosed tonsillitis and prescribed the antibiotics...
But deffo worth having it checked out... in the mean time get some soluble paracetamol (if you can take paracetamol) and gargle and swallow it to reduce the pain slightly x |

All better now thanks. Antibiotics cleared it up by the Thursday evening but I finished the course. Taught me a lesson though, won't be doing that again in a hurry. |
