When you’ve booked into a hotel, and we all know how expensive these places can be, what do you think is acceptable to take home with you?
Let’s be honest, I’m asking what have you nicked?
I’ve a thing for taking home a flannel, I’ve about a dozen flannels from hotels over the past 2 yrs.
What memorabilia do you have from your overnight stays? |

Ads normally takes all the toiletries and teas, coffees etc but had to put a stop to that as we had so many packets of sugar laying around lol.
I used to be a housekeeper so I try not and take stuff lol.

"I also quite like the little letter headed note pads...I remember once the rooms had brand new IMacs in them....I thought that might be pushing it "
This, when did smart phones become a thing in the room? Yep, a little to brazen to try and walk of with the Samsung. |

Decent toiletries which I donate to the Foodbank here. There's also a really good scheme set up in London that I post the kits you get as well. The odd pen as I'm constantly running out. |

My favourite ever pen is a hotel room complimentary one. It feels just right, and makes me scrawl look all loopy and elegant as a result. Plus it has the added bonus of making me smile when I use it because seeing the hotel name on the side of it triggers some very happy flashbacks. |

By rights the consumables are yours you’ve paid for the room they put it in there and expect you to use it!
The towels/robes etc are reusable so should not be taken

We only take the miniature toiletries, I'd be mortified being caught stealing anywhere.
When I was about 14 I went stayed in a nice hotel with a friend and her parents, we had two rooms and they stole the teapot and cups from both rooms, then had the audacity to phone the hotel and ask them to send the dressing gown they'd left behind.

Exactly!
On our recent ferry trip the 'complimentary' mini bar in our cabin suite was completely emptied but I did wonder how the stylish espresso coffee cups made their way back home too |

. That’s it, it’s the memories rather than the fact that I need the item.
Although I did need an ice bucket. |

We “needed” a pair of curry bowls from Wetherspoon but we’ve never actually used them lol
