I live in the countryside and I love it because of the stunning views, the peace and quiet and the community spirit between people.

I hate the fact though that I have to travel miles to get anywhere, by car (which I'm currently without as it broke down). I'm miles from my nearest bus stop even.

What do you love and hate about where you live?

Love my city, no finer city in the land as far as i'm concerned. Ive travelled a lot an experienced different cultures, but nothing beats that home feeling of Liverpool

Havnt got a bad word to say about the place, it'd be like slaggin me ma an thats just not gonna happen!

I have recently moved in the pub, from a city, I am not exactly remote as I am only a couple of miles from Ashton under Lyne one way and Oldham the other, but when we had the snow, and getting out of then place was virtually impossible.

I moved for work and while I enjoy it it's not home.

When my contract is up I will be moving on and would love to find a nice seaside town.

Stoke area

I live in a village which has a great community and I can see for miles. Only 6 miles to various big town's with cinema, theatre and loads of shops. I am having to move house, but found one in the next village.

I couldn't cope with busy city life.

Trowbridge

I like nothing about it except hearing the ducks outside in the morning.

Cannot wait to move!

bradford

We live on the outskirts of Bradford and love that we have a really good city/rural balance as we’re just 5 miles from the city and 15 mins walk away from the woolpack (emmerdale)! good rail networks close by too!

Hate that it has a bad reputation because there was a couple of riots (15 and 23 years ago) :-/

I live in a beautiful chocolate boxy kind of rural town but there is not much to do here if you live here... it gets jammed with tourists in the summer months..

The nearest big towns are at least 20 miles in any firection and buses are few and far between...

The railway stopped in the 60's

Maldon

I’m a West London boy originally but lived in a Cambridgeshire village for last 25 years. Great place to bring up two boys. Job done though and they have both developed a liking for London. Time for me to move on - France ideally.
