Just seen this on Reddit and it's a brilliant question.
What made you realise boys or girls were different and exciting to you.
For some it's a cartoon, for others it's a TV character from childhood that made them feel funny.
For my girl Rocky Horror did 'things'.

The appeal of a bdsm lifestyle awoke something in me when I read 'Doc and Fluff' by Pat Califia (and then more of her books) during a Sexuality module in my literature degree when I was about 20! |

Drew Barrymore in Poison Ivy and Rebecca De Mornay in Risky Business both made me realise that I absolutely wasn't straight when I was around 13. That counts right? |
