I have two mozzie bites on either heel.
Unbelievable.
Sooooooooo itchy. Scratching them, even though they’ve already blown up into hard red lumps is as, possibly more, satisfying than an orgasm right at this minute.  |

I was infected by mozzie bites in turkey about 20 yrs ago..
Had to miss flight home as leg was so swollen and wait til it went down..
It was horrible..
Massive pus filled blisters and when i finally got home and saw the gp, he had never seen anything like it... had to have a further 2 weeks off work... |

From scratching them?"
Well yes, the hospital said him scratching it probably didnt help. He got cellulitus and phlebitus from it. Very nasty. His entire lower leg swelled up and the skin went bright red. Two weeks of IV antibiotics to save his leg and now he is home he still has more antibiotics to take and is in huge pain love him.
All that from a teeny tiny mosquito bite. |

Well yes, the hospital said him scratching it probably didnt help. He got cellulitus and phlebitus from it. Very nasty. His entire lower leg swelled up and the skin went bright red. Two weeks of IV antibiotics to save his leg and now he is home he still has more antibiotics to take and is in huge pain love him.
All that from a teeny tiny mosquito bite."
Oh no! I’ve been scratching all day. They’re an inch wide, raised, red and hot as heck. I’ll slap more antihistamine on and stop pleasuring myself. Thanks for keeping me in line. |

I react really badly from mozzie bites, picture hand sized infections.
Bastard things are the bane of my life, and they bit me to bits a couple of years ago when I built my pond.
They should be eradicated forthwith. |

According to an article I read a while back, there's no definite way of repelling them, it's a genetic thing.
They had indentical twins in a lab, with a Y shaped glass tube, one end on the arm of each twin, and released mosquitos into the single end of the tube.
The mosquitos consistently went to one of the twins.

Well that's the thing, although they "appeared" identical in terms of what's considered normal gentic make up, there's obviously something that makes them different. I'll see if I can dig the article up. |

I always take clear nail varnish with me. First sign of a bite paint it on . Stops it itching , unfortunately they always made worse by scratching. Another good item is clay mask just a dab seals it .
Avon skin so soft original is the one that works to repel missiles my friend uses it on her horse and daughter uses it when out running . |

I have friends that have done extensive research on mosquitoes in which I also assisted in.

To stop the itchiñg simply rub an ice cube on them, we lived abroad for 10 years and after trying pretty much everything the chemist had it was the simple ice cube that worked best. |

Well this has led me to googling at 5 am
The study article suggests identical twins are likely to have the same appeal, non identical ones don't- so genetics does play a role. But if one was pregnant or lardier, the mosquito would have a preference for them, if I've read it right

Stress hormones - I think biting insects can smell cortisol or something in the sweat and are attracted to it (observation on horse fly bites). |
