I went for a routine check up at hospital for an ongoing skin condition psoriasis so I thought it wuould be the same old shit go gluten free n vegan but the newest blood tests came back saying I had 25% skin cancer , not what I expected at all such a shock specially as I have 2 best friends going through breast n ovarian cancer, I knew my psoriasis was out of control n bad but just pushed it aside n I knew I looked liked elephant woman but it didn’t put many of my meets off , but today it’s been brought home to me n I feel like a leper n I start new light puva treatment in may for 8-15 weeks ... any one else suffered this or had this treatment n does it work? x would this put any of u lot off meeting me or anyone else with this awful condition x |

I'm so sorry to hear this ...I really don't know what to say but really hope they get you sorted soon and you have lots of friends to support you .
Well as for you're question on would it put people off .... well if it would , they really arnt worth your time anyway . We certainly wouldn't be put off by meeting anyone with this type of problem. Depending on the side affects of the treatment they may not know or realise unless you are open about it anyway . Xx

Sorry to hear that devils daughter, clearly we hope you get through this ok and soon. Mr has had something found unexpected but feels blessed that in discovering it early, it will mean that every hope of a speedy recovery because possible through taking care of yourself. Too many neglect their health and give themselves a mountain to climb. We hope for you it is just a speed hump. Take care xx |

I really am sorry to hear your news.
I had an ex with psoriasis and he had light treatment (and coal tar treatment). It really cleared it up and gave him a tan!
I don't know if your treatment is the same, or different.
Good luck |

A good friend of mine had really bad psoriasis. It covered nearly every part of her. She started a new treatment and it’s nearly all gone.
Sending you lots of well wishes, OP! X |

The best thing is that something has been picked and the situation is managed.
The NHS are the best in the world- my advice would be to follow theirs. Get timescales off them.
However, if the advice goes cold start pushing them for answers.
Wishing you the very best xxx |

Hi I am sorry to hear you are going through this it's awful for anyone and sincerly hope the treatment goes well and both of your friends get better too.
When I was 18 my eczema got way out of hand to the point I was in full body bandages physically head to toe, they are called comfyfast ask your gp and dermatologist about getting them as they do help and save your clothes being ruined with creams ect. I have also gone through two full sessions of the light treatment and while it takes a little time to take effect it certainly helps, I still have to apply cream daily and use aveeno (I highly recommend it as it has oatmeal in it) I get the odd little break out but if I keep in top of it my skin is okay for the most part and definitely 100% better than before. Just make sure to attend every treatment, if it was like mine it may be three times a week it's a lot of effort but worth the payoff. All the best let me know how it goes if you don't mind. And it certainly shouldn't put you off meeting anyone my skin doesn't stop me and I find most people are fairly understanding and a fair few are actually remarkably sweet and offer to assist myself in applying the cream to areas I struggle with ie my back ect. |

Oh that's not good, is the lush cream helping any better?? Trust me I understand and I get Like that too but there are people who wouldn't have an issue with it at all, keep your chin up. |
