"English National Anthem is Jerusalem , sung in opening cricket & the commonwealth games "
It isn't an official anthem. It's just the song that was chosen by the British Commonwealth Council after a vote in 2010 as the official song for England. Other options were Land Of Hope and Glory or God Save the Queen. It's been up for discussuon in parliament since 2006 as to whether we should have an official English anthem at sports events and what song it would be. The first official bill regarding it was passed in 2016. |

Why i refuse to acknowledge it as a national anthem. No one will have ever or will never hear me singing this song. G |
