There was a programme on VICE last night that featured a US$1000 donut that appeared to be mostly gold foil.
This was closely followed by the worlds 'most expensive chicken wings' which included chicken wings topped with caviar, chicken winks topped with foie gras and chicken wings topped with a cream sauce incorporating a slug of expensive cognac.
All the wings were 'organic' chicken which is a good thing.
The prices were at the US$1000 mark and it suggests to me that there are a fair number of people with too much money and no idea of which food combinations work well together, and that goes for the 'chef' as well. |
