Den of Iniquity

These two were arguing yesterday about the Sun's Cleavage Competition. Do you think it empowers women or do you agree with Janet that it's just their " assets are the sum total of their brain " . Discuss .

What's that got to do with it. It just happens to be a Sun competition . I was looking for opinions on the subject not the paper.

Do why mention the paper? Hardly going to be a high browser debate in a red top.

I'm in 3 minds. I guess the women are choosing to enter so that is empowerment however it does perpetuate the sexualisation of the female body which leads to some thinking it OK to objectify women and leads to awkwardness around breast feeding in public because some cannot separate breasts from sexual pleasure.

Hmm, it’s one of those interesting debates just because the women choose to show their cleavage or even their breasts doesn’t mean they’re not intelligent. If a successful intelligent man stripped off and showed his chest or anything else his intellect wouldn’t be questioned, yet with women it is. Still very chauvinistic attitudes around. X

shits creek

I think it has fuck all to do with intelligence and more to do with confidence. Says more about the blokes perception than the woman's brain. If he thinks that way then he's the dumb one.

I would like to think they're aren't men who think that but alas you may be right Angie

But only questioned by other women, men are quite capable of enjoying a woman's body and her mind.

There's a trend these days where women are bashing women who want to show off their bodies and men get the blame. Like the flag girls in car racing, ring girls at fights or the girls at the darts. It's women making those girls redundant not men. Those girls have came out and said they don't care what other think they like they're jobs. Either way I'm sure men are to blame.

Yet the governing bodies of all those sports are predominantly male orientated and made the decision to remove said women. Suits men to blame the feminists though.

It's called successful lobbying. They obviously didn't want any drama, protest etc.. Around their sports so gave in. That's what happens when there's consistent pressure and criticism. It was 100% feminism that made those particular girls redundant.

I'm not really bothered either way to be honest.

Do I like a fit woman wearing hardly any clothes, errr yea .

I'm I bothered about them parading around in a bikini before formula 1 errr no.

There's definitely a time and a place for it but for me it's not demeaning to women but men, I mean what sort of an easily distracted guy do they think I am if I can't watch racing without a pair of tits on the grid?..

I might come back to this thread after looking at the hot photo section but there again I might go for a wank
