As a silver verified paying member I'm starting to ask the question in regards to "should we have to pay for this site".
My honest opinion is no, it's meant to be a site where like minded people can arrange meets and chat etc so why should someone be making money out of it. I won't be renewing next time as I don't think it's worth it's money at all |

Do you think that someone should have to spend their own money so that other people can get in touch with each other?
Personally, I'm happy to pay the £5 every two weeks. The extra features you get for being a site supporter are worth the pennies for me, but I like not having the adverts too.

Hope so. If it s out the frequently less than reliable and disruptive subscribers then that's good with us. The new adult site rules will hopefully do that in part and maybe we'll see more members that frequently pee off others with their less than decent contributions on fab disappear. Just my 2p worth... |

It’s super cheap so can’t really complain. It’s a business. If they didn’t make a profit it wouldn’t exist.
My membership ran out the other day and the free service is fine for now. The only bonus for paying is keeping track of messages and seeing how far people are away from you.
Other than that it’s practically the same. Apart from cams which I never use. |

Erm - switch that around! Someone has taken the trouble to set up what is basically a bloody good site to enable like minded people to chat on forums and 1-2-1, meet socially, attend events and meet for great sex! Why shouldn’t they make a few quid?
I pay a fiver a month for gold membership - and it’s probably the best value fiver I spend! Without fab I’d be bored crapless and extremely sexually frustrated!
Personally I think free membership should be withdrawn after a trial period of 3 months! It’d help get rid of most of the fake accounts and time wasters - and accounts that have been dormant for years! |

Why should somebody be making money out of it?
Have you ANY idea of the cost of building and maintaining a busy and popular website, hosting, bandwidth etc.
This stuff doesn't magically appear and run itself you know.
We are more than happy to support Fab by subscribing, and frankly we'd like fewer timewasters, so if payment deters them, fine and dandy. |

I was here for many years without paying and i found the site worked fine like that. The main reason i pay now is for the messege history and having the ability to put notes on profiles. |

That is your choice but do you really think that running this site costs nothing? There are lots of overheads and development costs which need to be paid for and we are happy to make a small contribution every month to ensure the site continues after all the alternative sites are a lot more expensive per month and not as active in our experience. |

Paying for the site is optional and gives greater service features: some may want them, others not.
As a free site it likely has a much larger membership based than if it was a paid site - and this user volume can be helpful to everyone, giving more choice, chance of matches etc.
It's good as it is - if someone tries the paid for option, it's not permanent and then you can determine whether the features are worthwhile for you. |
