Wellingborough

Just browsing through the common names given to babies in the UK in the last 12 months and it seems that Terance has slipped from 1488 in the hit parade to a mere 2120.

I guess that it's not that popular, anymore.

Slough Windsor ish

Its a rather old name, my step father was a Terence, I didn't like him.

Working in a school I get to hear all the popular names, there are a few of the older names coming back.

I'm in agreement; it seems to be an old name.

The only person that came to mind was Terence Stamp, as General Zod, in Superman in 1978.

Terence Stamp was born in 1938!

I dont know... Raymond is a really sweet cheeky geeky boy with an imagination way beyond his 4 years, his name suits him. Maud is a timid little carrot topped girl with wire framed glasses, so again the name fits her perfectly.

How old is your mum? Do shorten your name?

She had me at 26. She's 49 this year.

I don't shorten my name, but a nickname that has always stuck since I was a kid have been big T or just T. Lasses even call me that.

That was brave of her,I'm slightly older than your mum and wouldn't have gone for that name. Why big T,so many questions...

Have no idea as a kid I was the typical bag bigger than him. Maybe it was because of all the fights I had because people bullied me in school. But even after its always stook. Nobody knew about my past when I came to uni and a lass out of the blue called me big T. Its just a name that has always stook.
