Boss film. Needs to be seen on the big screen. Can’t imagine it havin the same impact visually at home. Decent soundtrack an not bad plot.
It’s a solid 8/10 from me |

Read the book last year and can’t wait to take my kid to see it this weekend coming.
I’ve heard it’s Spielberg’s best in years. Trying to show people that it’s not just superhero films or Star Wars that can be blockbusters these days |

I bought the book for the boys just over a year ago and they read it over and over. The film isn't the book but that's a good thing. I left them still discussing the differences and what was good about each.

I started reading the book last year - but zoned out halfway through.
I enjoyed the concept - and want to see the film just to know what happens in the end |

See that sounds great to me. I don’t want to see a literal adaptation. There should always be something new for the viewer, like even Lord of the Rings couldn’t be 100% faithful as there are pacing and structure issues to deal with.
One of my favourite books and movies is American Psycho, but they are poles apart, purely because what happens in the book there is no way you can show it on screen... yet the (female!) director did such a great job bringing the essence of the book to life that I can love them both. |

I can see the future not looking to different from it too. The more we advance technology wise the less people will be outside doing the things we used to do as kids. Just going to be artificial stimulation for the next generation or a large chunk of it anyway |

It did feel like we're almost at this point.

I thought it was a really good film - So many hidden references to 80s films etc.
It's actually quite thought provoking in a way. The blurred lines between reality & a virtual world. It can be kinda related back to fab in a way...what's real & what's purely virtual. |
