I'm wanting to indulge and subscribe to a beauty box but there are so many to choose from... does anyone here subscribe and recommend any particular one? |

I get Birchbox and I get the look fantastic box for my daughter. I’d say mine is better as it has fewer but higher quality products, but over time you do just end up with a load of half used sample pots of various products |

"Whats a beauty box ?" m
It's a subscription box where you get surprise treats worth more than the box, for example glossy box is £10 but has £70 worth of products |

I was tempted by birch box as they have a CK one coming up but I'm mainly thinking make up as I use elemis skin care |

I'm thinking it will get me trying new things as I'm a stickler for brands but also I feel like I need a pick me up and getting a box of surprise goodies would be better for me than gin |

"I used to get Birch Box but thought it was rubbish. I’ve had Look Fantastic for ages now and really rate it. You get an Elle magazine in it every month as well "
That one does look quite good - is it mainly makeup based? |

"I think you need to be very keen on beauty products for these to be worth the money.
I had a couple and stopped my subscription. I do know people who love them though."
I am and spend a fortune on products that I then find don't necessarily suit me or my skin |

"It's stuff no one wants so it's a tenner wasted not sixty quid gained."
It's often new release products and as I spend a lot each month on elemis skincare and high end makeup, if it gets me trying new brands for the fraction of the cost it will save me lots more than the £60 |

I do think that if companies really want to promote their products they should be giving it away.
I'm on a panel for a high street store and get products to test and evaluate now and again. They know I'll tell my friends or give them the stuff if I don't want it but I don't have to pay them.

That would be my ideal hobby
I find a lot of beauty counters will give samples I chatted to one of the staff members at the center parcs spa and she gave me loads of decleor samples and did a deal so I got a lot of elemis freebies too. But I do want to try some cheaper brands |

A mix of make up, skin and hair stuff. I’ve had Elemis bits before and recently there was a Eve Lom cleansing balm and cloth. It’s always high end stuff. I’ve bought full size stuff based on what I’ve tried and there are always offers on Look Fantastic too |

"Do they do a chocolate version.. Preferably Thornton's... "
Hotel Chocolat do a weekly M-Box. £5.95 a week and you get 2x4 different chocs.
I was involved in the pilot and was delighted that it’s started properly! |

At one stage, I was receiving:
Glossybox
Look Fantastic (comes with a "free" Elle magazine)
Latest in Beauty
Love Lula
Glossybox and Look Fantastic have beautiful boxes and great products.
Latest in Beauty is the best for tailoring to you hair and skin type and colour. Not just blonde/brunette/redhead and beige/dark beige/darker beige skin. Also, allows you to choose how many products you want for a set price, so flexible and good to have say three rather than six or nine products a month that end up becoming a huge arsenal! Great products too.
Never tried Birchbox and think that's the most popular? The other boxes did pretty the same products at some stage but for less money. It also seemed quite makeup geared, so that didn't suit me.
I do Love Lula a lot

Ok so I searched chocolate subscription. It was all going OK until the part where it said a month's supply would fit through the letter box... What's wrong with these people? |
