Hi I have just introduced us in the introduction lounge.
I am not sure if any of you have seen our profile pictures (we have always been complimented on them), we can not help this my husband was a professional photographer and we still have our own studio.
My husband doesn't want to come across as a know it all, he is knocking together a little guide on how to improve your photography and the results without having to spend a penny on buying anything new. Everything he is going to put down can by used with what you are using now, it will be just tips on how to use it and get the best results.
If he is going to step on anyones toes he apologises and will step back, unless if anyone feels my husbands input can be of use.
And fear not this is not going to be a technical manual or anything difficult, it will be in easy to read english, nice and simple that will make a massive improvement to your photography. No magic tips just practical advise. And to prove he puts practice to what he preaches, there are quite a few photos on our profile that were taken on an Iphone in dimly lit conditions. If no one has any objections he will post by the end of the bank holiday weekend. And I am sure if anyone wants to ask him any questions if he can answer them he will, just tell him I said it was ok for you to ask him |

Sadly people who do bother to put a pic up think that a selfie taken with a mobile phone constitutes a good picture. We give the masses crap devices and expect them to teach themself to use them. I take pride in my pics and I have to take them myself, I hope it shows that I take some care in them. I love dressing to do a shoot. |

As one of 'the masses' who uses her phone to take pics on...
I think I am doing a pretty good job so far!! |

Great pics, very arty. I'm also one of the masses but I like to think I do put some effort into it. I enjoy doing photos, I'm incurably vain and find it very sexy when I'm in the mood.
I don't think it's necessary to have a "proper" (i.e. non-phone) camera to get nice pics, especially these days with the quality of hardware available. Just a bit of time and effort.
Photo tips are always interesting but I suspect mostly wasted here. People who care about their pics probably know the basics, and those who don't care won't care : )

You've some really good pics! We love trying to get something a bit different in our pics, some of which are on here. Once we have a spare room at home we hope to use it as a studio but that's a while off yet! Looking forward to your posts and you're welcome to msg if you ever want a shoot social!

We were only trying to offer something that anyone can benefit from, and offering advice on how you may want to improve pictures better from a phone camera. Some people will already know this others wont.
We just thought it would be nice to pass on a bit of knowledge which took him years to acquire from working in the industry and working with it day in and day out. He started before there were computers and memory cards, so he knows all the little tricks.
We are glass half full kind of people, if anyone is interested if you drop us a message. |

Yes, I didn't mean to sound as negative (no pun intended lol) as I probably did : ) There's always something new to learn.

Lovely photos . Not all of us have a good camera a studio set up or someone to take and photoshop pictures .I manage my own photos with my lap top cam so there are bound to be limits. Great look at us post though well done. |

"Wow so much hostility, Ive asked admin to close and remove the thread.
Certainly won't bother offering any assistance in the future; now I know how visitors to Royston Vasey felt..."
Have you totally missed the comments that said you had great pics?! |

I'm not interested in having my ego stroked by strangers either on the internet or elsewhere.
What I won't put up with is snide remarks both on and off the forums, for offering to give some genuinely useful information for those who wanted it' still it's saved me wasting hours of my own free time putting something together.
So at least i'll know in the future to keep my professional (free!) advice to myself :D

I've just re-read the whole thread OP and can't see any negative remarks. Mainly people complimenting your pics you have on display and an interest in hearing your tips.
Have I missed something? |

Well if my reply has offended you I can only apologise, there was certainly no intention to do so!
Ive certain people messaging with snide comments about offering advice so I've touched a raw nerve somewhere with some people.
Anyway I shall step out of the discussion now, as its a fruitless exercise. The offer of any advice is still there, so if anyone wishes to do so the are more than welcome to drop me a message and i'll do my utmost to help if I can.
For those who have taken offence to my post, please worry no further as I shall no longer posting in any of the fora.

You have very beautiful photos OP. They are the classy erotic sort that i often go in search of to peruse/perve on Tumblr. (I like that sort of thing!).
Take all my pics with my Iphone on timer but i do appreciate a good picture.

I wouldn't bother complimenting him he doesn't need his ego stroked by strangers either on the internet or elsewhere. Apparently. |

Talk about completely misunderstanding my reply, its meant explain that I don't need to post any 'look at me' threads, as someone insinuated that this was what the original post was for some attention, I'm not THAT needy, and I went to say that I had also received some snide messages regarding my original offer of advice.
Anyway I have already stated in my previous reply, there was certainly no intention to offend anyone whatsoever, and if offence was taken any was then I sincerely apologise for any (intended or not) offence that I may (or may not!) have caused.
I hope this now clarifies the matter, I now remember why I stopped visiting any forums many years ago, people really need stop taking online life so seriously and get out once in a while and enjoy the real world; who knows it might even cheer a few of the grumpy sods up a bit! |
