"Pile of crap i bet just had to give them a job for loyalty
Fake job tho"
Why is it a fake job? They work well together and enough people like them to ensure there will be some ratings. It may be crap (some formats should remain in yesteryear) but it has been commissioned. |

"It's back, on Easter Sunday, with Mel and Sue.
Will they have a cuddly toy?
Yes! I saw it on the trailer.
If it's done properly I think it will be funny. "
I hope it will be.
Funny has been a little hit and miss on Aunty Beeb recently.

"I used to love The Generation Game with Larry Grayson and Isla St Clair"
Shhh, you're showing your age if you can remember that combination.
It was our Saturday night family watching programme. My Dad would laugh so much he sometimes had tears in his eyes.

That sit com with John Cleese in it springs immediately to mind.
I enjoy gentle humour with people doing daft things and laughing about it. However being a massive intellectual I like The Durrells and The Good Karma Hospital and record Escape to The Chateau, so I probably won't see it. |

Yes, Hold The Sunset appeared tired from the first scene. The complaints about it describe it as "poor".
I do The Durrells and The Good Karma Hospital too, along with Homeland, on Sunday. Easter Sunday has too many things on as there's an Agatha Christie too. Thankfully, the magic box saves things until I can watch them.

"Time to move on. Seriously, can no one come up with new format rather than '70s game shoes??"
It appears not. A lot of old formats are coming back.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire has also been recommissioned, with Clarkson as the host.

The newer ones all seem to be based on humiliating or somehow encouraging people to do gross things or suffer deprivation. Maybe a kinder, gentler format with people icing cakes or trying to do silly dances is what's required. |

I remember them too.
Haven't seen any ads for the remake this weekend. Not sure if I'll risk it in case it's cringeworthy. |

Doesn't it? Supercilious tones and eyebrows as he asks the questions and the follow up "Are you sure?" with a drawl.

As long as the show is about the contestants but personally I find Mel an irritating attention seeker who thinks she funny way beyond her actual limited talent. |

It ticks the bbc PC boxes. Personally, it won't work unless you have the likes of Brian Colney on it. Old school interaction with contestants and audience. You need a club or stage show presenter. |

"Was a good format and drew a large audience, mind you we only had 4 channels then I think..
They do gel together well too so it could be OK.. "
During the heyday we only had 3 channels. |

Give them a chance. You're saying it won't work and will be PC because it's two women presenting? They started out with audience interaction.
