"I know there is a few of us that have athritis. Since loosing weight the worst thing that sets mine of is the damp. Today its got worse throughout the day and now im having a job to walk. Its painful and stiff(knee) I use the electric blanket in bed. But what is the best way to keep damp out of your joints. Maybe just maybe i might get one sensible answer lol" Try getting a dehumidifier to remove moisture from the air in your bedroom then you are more likely to wake up not aching.

"have very slight arthritis in my knee and was informed by my physio that building muscle is the only way to alleviate the pain as you need to support the bones with the muscle. I walk everywhere now and have not had pain from it in over 7 years now. Then again he did say it was only slight." I was told the same thing by my specialist. I was given some exercises to do which would strengthen the muscles in my legs, as I have arthritis in the knees, and they did help. However I've also found fish oils and olive oil, in cooking, has also helped. When all else has failed I usually manage my knees by keeping them warm, whenever possible, and alternating between Ibuprofen, co-codamol, and solpadol. Never totally gets rid of the pain but it helps a bundle.
