Personally I like a man with a bit of beef on him. A bit of a tummy, chunky thighs... think front row, prop forward in rugby terms.
Gym fit men tend to like themselves more than enough. |

Rugby players are no longer like that. They are lean and muscular. No team wants fatties holding them back |

"I like a fit guy. Athletic fit, not gym fit.
Tiger woods
Oh come on we all know Golf is athletic "
Hmm. I'll have to think of how to better describe my preference, it would seem. |

Front row union players can still have a bit of bodyfat - weight is important in some aspects of Union. |

Ugh. Complicated. Does air hockey count as a sport? I'd quite like to call myself athletic. |

All of those can be physically fit. They are body types by shape and how you store fat and build muscle.
I'm drawn to all body types as long as they have a modicum of stamina.
I'm an ectomorph with lots of body fat and minimum muscle. |

See, for me if a guy can make me laugh, his physical size is secondary.
I'd sooner have someone who is less than toned but who will laugh me into bed rather than a toned, up-yer-own-arse type who would bore me to death... |

"Physically fit please"
Physically fit can virtually mean any size and shape. Being physically fit is not necessarily related to body shape.
Physical fitness is your ability to carry out tasks without undue fatigue. The components of physical fitness are cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance and flexibility.
Can be fat, thin or somewhere inbetween and still have the above properties. |

Comes with age I think, most of us were lean and fit in our 20's without even trying, 30s filling out abit... Late 30's fmL! Unless you're a committed gym junkie and eat kale and dust every day it's a uphill battle. But again for me it changes person to person |

"Every woman is different and every man is different so there is no correct answer."
I wonder if there is a statistically accurate answer though ?
for example although a 5 foot 33 stone man will have his admirers and a bronzed gymnast will have his I feel is is reasonable to suggest one would statistically be found more desirable than the other ?
I may suggest that although precise shape may not be evident there is a pattern emerging leaning towards men who embody practical strength , ie their size or strength would not inhibit their mobility

All women, regardless of age, seek out unfit men.
I'd pull someone's hair out at the roots for a man slowly dying of consumption and hardly able to get it up. |

Doesnt always work like that.
I am actually dying of a terminal lung disease (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) and have no problems getting it up or using it. In fact since they have been sending me to rehab i'm probably fitter than I have been for years. |
