My very first swing meet was a blind one... we hadn't exchanged face pics or names even when we arranged to meet for coffee....
Luckily it worked out wonderfully well, we were crazy about each other and we even had a couples profile for a time...  |

i wouldn't now, but my first meet from here, we'd chatted for ages, and it was only when we met and he said 'id imagined you blonde' that it dawned on us we hadnt swapped pics beforehand..lovely man , lovely meet...but wouldn't do it now! i was lucky! |

No as been chatting to a guy who says he doesn’t send face pics as he prefers to meet in person ???? I’ve told him no worries and have fun then he keeps messaging me saying I’m worth the risk even thou I haven’t sent him a face pic of me ?? He’s last meet was well over a year ago and doesn’t display the verie ??? |

Hmmmm.....I was chatting to a guy very recently who was adamant he wasn't going to send a pic. He did in the end but I quick Tineye search proved it wasn't him....so I sent one of Angelina. I ended up blocking him, can't stand messing about.
He told me I wouldn't be disappointed to. Apparently he was a police officer.... |

exactly! reported a profile pic of a well known model on some profile that msgd me the other day, he had veris from men and women..i can only imagine he meets with one of those stupid 'face on a stick' type mask thing! |

I've done quite a few and they always turned out well but that's probably because I only meet someone if I enjoy the conversation through texting here first |

Its not something I would do now... but it worked out at the time. Neither of us had met anyone before and were quite nervous... even though it was only coffee. He told me later that right up until I walked through the pub door and smiled at him he was 95% sure it was a wind-up  |

It's not only them who don't look like their pics either, during my last time here, I met with a lady who in her picks was slim ISH and blonde, not what greeted me, lovely lady and we got on well, but it was a shock at first |

I have photos on my profile, and am happy to send face photos beforehand too, but it does add an extra dimension of excitement to a meet... |

Sounds like he's hiding something....my guess would be either a wife, or he doesn't have the confidence you'd be interested in him once you've seen his face. Either way, he's not respecting your right to choose how you organise your meets, so that would be an immediate red flag for me. If he can't respect your decisions online, he's unlikely to in person too. |

My first social, he told me later I hadn't sent him a face picture beforehand. It was an oversight on my part, not intentional! Fortunately it turned out well.
I don't send them immediately, but I do send a face picture when I can imagine myself meeting the person. (I don't ask for them immediately either) |

Sounds like he's hiding something....my guess would be either a wife, or he doesn't have the confidence you'd be interested in him once you've seen his face. Either way, he's not respecting your right to choose how you organise your meets, so that would be an immediate red flag for me. On my previous profile, within a week of moving down here (I was in Malvern then actually) I had a “blind” meet....at an Indian Restaurant in Malvern link.
Been good friends ever since....see her most weeks, at least socially. Have caravaned together, bedn to clubs together, been gig buddies etc. Had tea together last night....though she is no longer on fab she is aware that I am.

Was a rather surreal experience, but was the blind date for a couple. Specifically his wife on their anniversary! He wanted to arrange a surprise for her, but wanted it to be a surprise for me too. Cant lie when i say there were definite butterflies going into it, but i suppose in this situation id had previous contact with him so maybe took the edge off. At the same time kind of put more pressure, as what do you do if you turn up and theres no attraction at all! Luckily it all worked out though |

We did... by accident.
We'd been chatting for ages before we managed to get together. It was only once we got to the pub we realised we had no idea what each other looked like.
Fortunately they recognised my hair. We got on really well and met a few times.

No not me. A very a long time ago b4 I met my hubby I was set up by some females from work. I didn't know them very well but though why not. I'm young and have nothing to loose. The female in question didn't know the guy I was meeting either. She set us up through her hubby. When I showed up to the double date the guy in question was my brother. Never laughed as hard. We still get a giggle out if it to this day |

I've had probably 6 or 7 coffee meets "blind", they've all been interesting and some have resulted in a great sex meet later.
I generally get a feel for someone via the messages sent prior.
I don't get nervous, I see each meet as an adventure and if it doesn't work out or there's no sexual spark it aint the end of the world

His profile said he was 37 and the pic looked about that. He turned up, a slightly strange looking 70 year old and used his Citizen Card (local resident discount card) to buy a £2.30 pot of tea for one which he insisted we shared!)
I asked about the picture... "Oh thats my son" he says "I didnt think anyone would meet a pensioner" |

I had a blind date on Saturday and it went very well actually. It soon ended up in bed.
We did had a chat in whatsapp for a week, but didn't share face pics, it was very exciting. I will do this again. |

We had a blind meet once, met up with a couple at a local dogging site, as they wanted to watch us, her hubby was blind and she spent the time describing to him exactly what we were doing, we had her take a few pics for us too, they headed off looking really happy. |
