I have been chatting to someone who seemed to be a genuine lovely lady for weeks - and exchanged lots of information. About to actually arrange to meet and suddenly

Who said they weren't real and didn't really want to meet? People have lives away from this site. Anything could have come up and made them close their account. |

that's ridiculous!!! calling someone, a verified someone, fake just because they left? there could be myriad reasons, none of which are any of your business, they didnt stand you up! |

Maybe they had a partner who was unaware and found out or was suspicious?
Maybe they recieved some bad news?
Maybe they met somebody else and decided not to look for anyone else?
Maybe they were happy just chatting with you and knew an offer of meeting was coming?
Maybe they had second thoughts about using a site like this?
Who knows, we will never find out.

Yup. It's easy to take it personally but chances are it's nothing to do with you and they realised it's not for them or had things going on in their outside 'real' life. |

The only person who can waste your time is you... It your time.
Nobody forces anyone to spend time messaging, you choose to do that yourself.
People use the site for their own reasons, they are only wasting their own time. You are wasting your own. |

too many of what? he wasnt stood up, divested of credit card details, or mugged... ffs!! the person he spoke to left the site, after being on for weeks..end of. It might be annoying but it's hardly the end of the world! |
