Surely I can't be the only guy or female for that matter that is put off big time by people's negative status's, I can't imagine that a woman would ever send me a message if I had a negative status up, however I suspect that women with really negative status's still get plenty of messages from men that have no self respect,, thoughts please, also ,how cheeky and sad would I sound as a man if I was asking for a site pass in my status???? Just leaving work, will check people's comments when I get home

Depends on what do you mean by negative.

If it's like "I had a shite day!"

I'll still message if I'm interested.

If it's like "Can **** just f*** off!" then no, I won't message.

I find negative statuses rather off-putting. I logon to be cheered up and entertained; not depressed

" Been back on here 1 day and already being reminded about the freaks, I will not and do not meet right now for a fuck"! This is an example, I have changed the wording slightly, for two reasons, 1 I can't remember the exact wording, and 2 , to protect identities this is probably not the best example but you get the idea, alsorts bugs me to be fair

The bitter status...It's quite often borne out of not getting a shag...

People can post whatever status they want surely !

Pass by if you think it’s negative

I much prefer positivity

But some thrive on negativity!

Each to their own

I don't mind negative as in shit day or crap weather but it really puts me off it it's sex / fab related for example moaning about not getting enough attention or replies or meets etc. It just makes me feel like they're on here thinking everyone is easy and when people aren't falling all over them they aren't happy. It also indicated they could be a downer and personally I'm on here for some stress free time. Having said that it's their profile so they can do as they wish.

I see a lot of really unpleasant statuses aimed at people - sometimes specifics, sometimes a general moan about women/people who won’t meet or how ‘crap’ the site is. Those I walk on by...

your imagination

It depends.... If I see a friend post something that seems like they're feeling a bit down or frustrated by things I'll usually send them a 'what's up buttercup?' and talk to them...

If its a random moaning myrtle in my local updates I'll probably just ignore it though... or block them so I don't see their updates anymore if they're a serial moaner.

Mine tend to change daily.

Always a quote from a favourite author.

Generally I just let the ones who waffle on with vulger comments waft over my head.

But if it's a friend's status, perhaps a low point, I'll message to see if they're ok.

You never know , you might just give them that smile that they've been needing.

Some come across as plain desperate, they are offputting also.

ie "It's there on a plate for you and you don't show, what more can I do?"

Which reads to me that its targeted at a person, so why not message them? Ok so they've been blocked I hear you all say, then why bother saying anything? Comes across to me (mr) as an easy shag guaranteed, you don't need to work for it... For us the chase is a big part of fun

obviously its totally up to the individual as to what they put on their status...but naming and shaming, saying 'thanks for a great nite, u no who u r' and people saying how shite the site is certainly put me off...

Its the 'bored','this place is shit' ones that make me

Cryptic ones always make me wonder what its about (for about 3 seconds)

I like quotes and song lyrics

To be honest i dont really notice them unless it comes up on a friends update, and my friends are always cheerful

People calling others ‘fakes’ or more annoyingly ‘dreamers’ just cos they don’t want to meet them.

Goodbye...

I was shown one the other day where the guy was kicking off that even fat women won't reply to him because they have an inflated veiw of them self on fab but in everyday life fat women would be desperate for him (or words to that effect).
