I don't actually want to know so you can forget posting whatever it was you thought of posting when you read the title.
I want to ask about how people use the word 'kinky' and what they mean when they use it.
I don't think I am kinky nor do I consider anything I do to be kinky.
Some will say you are kinky if you have a pair of 6 inch heels, others if you have some pvc... some it is more to do with what you do.
So, when you answer someone asking 'how kinky are you' what do you relate it to?

Like you, I think I'm pretty normal in whatever I'm playing at. Then I get amazed by what some people consider 'kinky' or perverted

Depends on the context and who I am with.
To some spying an ankle is kinky.
As I heard last week, we need to be careful that the puritan ideals of some are not forced defacto on everyone. Because smiling would be considered obscene/kinky.

Defining Kinky is easy, it's basically any sexual practice that deviates from the 'norm'.
What's much harder to define is the norm, everyone has a view on what the norm or starting point is, but that isn't uniform Its individual and always changing.
Answering your opening question is very difficult because your level of kinkiness probably over time becomes your norm and therefore no longer kinky.
So my answer to 'how kinky are you?' is I don't think I am, but you may beg to differ! |

Hate the word,like fetish it is totally subjective and differs so much from person to person that it is meaningless.

I ask the question as I am starting to believe ‘kinky’ is a word used a lot by people who have or are use to fairly dull unimaginative or restricted sex lives.
It's a word which keeps cropping up in messages and it's really starting to put me off the people using it.
A number of times I have found myself replying.... if you think that is kinky then sorry but you are not a potential playmate for me. |

i quite agree,there seems to be an inverse correlation between describing yourself as kinky and actually being openminded or wanting to push boundaries.
Re your comment about fetish,it is the fact most people do not use it correctly ,it is not a byword for BDSM or being into pvc . |

As has already been said what my kinky is may be normal to someone else.

Some might say a group of guys stood round the action in a club wanking under their towels is kinky is the scene kinky the individuals kinky or each kinky for being there in the first place... are the ones being watched kinky for having sex in front of a group of guys all wanking? I think I like kinky as a term for a style as in kinky boots for example and not relating to a persons sense of fun or interest in a certain forme of activity... a regular enjoyment of such an activity might just be better refered to as a fetish and in that context a fetish need not be kinky in style... a love of pizza for supper ever night is equally a fetish as is say having sex each and every time while usinga condom? is the use a fetish or the wearing of said condom kinky? who knows... who cares... each to their own liking... I think both words are for those that don't understand or are baffled by other peoples sense of fun and passion to live life! |

'Kinky' is in the eyes of the individual I think...I see it as what a person or couple feels is the ultimate or near ultimate what they will do..
