Carpetright and mothercare shares dive on trading worries

Who would of thought that these 2 super giants might go into administration?Shares in carpetright and mothercare have plunged amid fears about the retailers futures.
Carpetright slumped 14% after a report suggested it would cut jobs and close stores as part of a rescue plan to stop it going into administration.
Mothercare, which is in the midst of a store closure programme, fell almost 12%.
Is it down to brexit, whats your view? |

Retail is generally in a bad place.
Mothercare's issue is it sells stuff which you can easily drop into your trolley at Tesco, and the other higher value itemd can be bought online for cheaper.
Not really much these chains can do unfortunately. The retail landscape is changing. |
