I'm noticing a really strong pattern on here. I've got a lot of friends who are Black and Asian so I can only imagine how they feel
but most people from the region other than the 2nd city appear to have a real issue with non whites. Has anyone else noticed this? Tamworth Stoke Cannock Hinckley residents are the worst offenders from experience.
Somehow I think it goes a little deeper than 'personal preference' and has more to do with...... Well figure it out yourselves, i'm sure we know the real issue here. |

I live now in a village in rural herefordshire
I tend to agree there is an issue having lived in a few cities in West Midlands and worked in the north west, there will be lots of genuine people who don’t have any issues at all, but there are quite a few dinosaurs still have r#####m issues

I’ve lived in Warwickshire for 4 years and worked in Coventry for most of it. Shaggy moved to Coventry for university and never went back home. He moved here to warks 10 years ago but still works as a postie around Coventry city centre.
The op’s statement is either a bullshit attempt to create a reaction on the forum or we must be living our lives with blinkers. We have seen no more r@cisim here than in any other part of the country. |

Well living in one of those mentioned towns I can say it’s no worse here than it is anywhere. And yes it’s personal preference I’ve seen on many profiles not just this area x |

On a site like this folks can have a “shopping list” as it were, it doesn’t mean they are bad people because you aren’t on their list, simply look for people who are interested in you and stop trying to find a reason or a cause when there is nothing to look for  |

Some people call me fat. Some people put on their profiles they don't meet BBW's or people over a size 14. Do I shout 'sizeism' and start a ranty thread because someone excludes me from their preferences ?
No. I see that as a SEXUALPREFERENCE on an adult sex site, where people have sexual preferences. I move on to the next profile without a second thought. |

I’m that sad and boring that looked up couples profiles in Stoke and looked at the first 60.
Five of them mentioned no Asian men. Most also mentioned other factors - including baldness and body hair (that’s me out!).
I’ve been on here years and there’s always been this debate. Tbh, I can see the frustration, but there’s a decent percentage of profiles only looking for black guys etc etc.
I do think you’re on difficult ground arguing it’s worse than other areas. Unless a much more detailed statistical analysis than I did has been done, that’ll undermine the argument completely. Is it really worse there than in, say, Leighton Buzzard?!
Anyway, I’m boring myself now - off to perve at profiles from Stoke! |

You've been here 4 weeks op, which is insufficient for most single guys to get established and have meets. Your profile seems focused on something that's very specific and will have more minority appeal, so reduces the success rate imo.
No public photos reduces success always.
Staffordshire and the West Midlands have a very high amount of people meeting as well as really decent people, on the whole. There's also a high level of ethnicity variation, so it's something that people are accustomed to.
Adjust your approach, expectations and you could find that as you reach your more likely several months on fab to start to get established, you'll better know how things are successful. |

Ha ha - i mentioned that I have non white friends and haven't declared my origins. Of course is personal choice but it's based on something - this is simply declaring an observation not race baiting which from the comments expressed is the opinion of more than my own.

I don't honestly think it's "based on" anything other than personal choice in the overwhelming majority of cases OP and you're just looking for things that aren't there for dome reason (which eludes me) - stating a preference for a type that you're attracted to is not, in itself, racist, just the same as preferring not to meet bisexual men isn't necessarily homophobic, or preferring blondes over brunettes etc - it's preference pure and simple.
And as has been proven by a straw poll of the area you are referring to, your suggestion that "most" have that preference is more than a little wide of the mark!!

I'm not going to be drawn into a race argument as it's to pathetic to shed light on the subject.
I'm from cannock and apart from the few Asians that own shops there's no blacks and Asians living around here that I know of so I see no racism.
I go to the shop in the morning and its hard to get served as the Indian man and the old white people are usually chatting and laughing together so I see no racism there either.
Yet my friend lives in b/ham the 2nd city and the amount of racism I've seen there is shocking.Her brothers hate white men.Two streets by her area are no go zones at night as it's whites against black.
It's brain dead behaviour and even though she's black herself she's said it's embarrassing how some of her family behave.They blame it on territory wars but the only insults I've seen there are about the colour of each other's skin.PATHETIC.
