I've only come across 2 on the whole site and thats from the forums. Maybe you live in TS/TV Central?

If they are identifiying as a woman it would suggest they are perhaps post op and therefore are now legally female. Whats your problem? And like I said, theyare so few and far between you would have to be pretty lucky to have found more than one in your search, depending on your search criteria.

Thier are a number of pre op and transition ts girls who are set as women and this to me is just fine. However you will find from time to time TVs like myself who also chose to set thier profile as a woman and this is clearly wrong

I think it's misleading for a mtf pre op person to set their profile as a woman. Hopefully they'd explain clearly in the text though.

I'd like to suggest a new category, "Dixie Chick", to denote 'woman with a penis'.

Some of them even have female penises* (Don't ask me how that works but I've been assured it does).

It's the age we live in unfortunately - world's gone mad. A certain person who works at a certain public sector place has decided they are "gender fluid" i.e. he/she decides whether he is a male or female from day to day (i.e. how they feel). So, colleagues then have to refer to him/her as Patrick or Patricia depending on his/her gender fluidity. You may think this is a joke - it isn't and shows how mad the world has gone. The employer concerned holds it up as a perfect example of gender equality.

Perfect fuckin tossers more like. P.S. I/we like T girls x

If a transgender person refers to themselves as a woman, then they are. Gender is in the brain. They might have unconventionally configured genitals, but that is purely between them, their doctor, and anyone they choose as a sexual partner. They may or may not share that information wider, but no one has the right to demand it of them. Read the works of Julia Serano, she explains for more eloquently than I ever could.

If someone is transgendered and has gender dysphoria why shouldn't they be women on here? If you chat to them or see it clearly in their profile and its not for you..... Move on.

Its not the world gone mad its that we are becoming more liberal/developed and people can be who they want to.

Who are you to judge what is mad or not?

Well, I`m mad - so that makes me an expert on madness

Im sorry - I fully appreciate transgender issues but the gender fluid example I quoted (and have now started a thread on) is mad beyond madness - this has to stop somewhere - otherwise if I say "I am an octopus" - does that make me an octopus because I think it (as someone has said) or does it make me mad?

This is a minefield, I am classed as a female on my driver license but prefer to put TS on here as it would lead to slot of confusion. Just to add, I am not knocking anyone, it all depends on lots of things.

The Ops issue would seem to be that when he goes searching for the penis-less,he often encounters the penis-ed and he feels deceived by them.

I'm not sure showing him a drivers licence or any other document would comfort him.

Personally, I say very early on in my profile that I’m trans.

If that’s a problem. Move on. Block me. Whatever.

I was listed as tv/ts for years and was treated as a tv by most.

As a transitioning female, fab recognises me as female and I like that. I don’t pretend or try to fool people. I’m honest as to who I am.

I make up a very very small part of the population so I’m pretty sure I don’t slow the ops search down very much.

"I think fab REALLY need to split the Tv and TS profiles. That’ll be a major help"

It might help, but it is a grey area about exactly where many of us lie. And we can move around on that line, not just forwards but also backwards. We could have 20 different graduations, but then we'd get really pissed about having to start a new profile if we changed our position a bit.

The current situation where we get to declare just tv/ts, then can explain more in our profile text is not perfect but is at least fairly simple.

If it inconveniences the OP, he could just blanket block all tv/ts, as if it makes that much difference to him exactly how feminine one of us is, and what surgery we might have had, he'll be doing us a favour by stopping looking at us. Polly xx

What I find sad on this site is you're accused of every type of phobia/ism/shaming if you dare stick your head above the parapet and state what you like if it doesn't fit in with "recognised inclusive" thinking.

People would still be able to decide for themselves which category to choose and, I'm sure, some people would still dispute some other peoples decisions.

Just reading a person's profile and finding out some facts about them is just toooo difficult, I suppose.

The fundamental flaw.with the "if someone says they are a woman they are" argument is that "woman" is an objective term. To mean anything. "woman" has to have a particular definition that includes some and excludes others.

Traditionally, that definition was a physical one, denoting an adult human being with a vagina, uterus etc. By all means propose a different definition, but that definition must still be objective which would, in principle, exclude some people who might subjectively assert they are women.

What's annoying about this is I can block trans from messaging me. But not when they select "woman" as their gender. I've changed my profile to hopefully help them.

Just out of interest what do you do when you click on a “born a woman” profile you don’t fancy? Do you move on? Or a woman that states no black guys ? Do these same profiles also waste your time ?
