I am a vegan, an 18st rugby playing vegan.

Tips - don’t underestimate the quantity of food you’ll need to eat, to maintain my weight I eat 5 meals a day, more during off season if I want to add muscle etc...

Download apps (deliciously Ella is good)

Lots of good content on YouTube; I like AvantGardeVegan

Eat things you enjoy, whatever happens you will lose weight if you remain on a proper vegan lifestyle.

Find interesting places to eat.

Pre-make massive pots of food.

Final tip; see tip 1.

Good luck! Plant power!

Thanks. I'm a month in and have found it quite easy so far. Cutting out cheese is my biggest hurdle...but one that can be overcome.

I'm not vegan but I do own the Thug Kitchen cookbook which is purely vegan recipes, there's some really good ones in there and it's funny to read as well

You're welcome.

Oh, one final tip; when meat eaters question why you won’t eat meat and decide to goad you on it, have a witty/cutting response ready. It gets boring after a while, but they will all get over it.

You can choose to answer seriously or otherwise, it won’t matter though, most people think veganism is for new age hippies. It isn’t of course. It’s for everybody!

Google “Tennessee Titans vegan” too.

Be careful how many beans and lentils you eat or you'll be blowing your own trumpet!
