It's just not beef.
Trying to be healthy, but I think my mince needs to be a lot more beefier.
I've tried quorn and that's a no too, I just love meat!
Any other healthy options to avoid? I bet there are people that like turkey mince too |

I use a lot of lentils. Quick to cook and cheap. Make a really nice spinach and lentil lasagna. But it is smothered in cheese which takes away the health factor.
You could use 5% fat beef mince. |

"Ive got some lovely slimming world recipes, using turkey mince xxx
It was a recipe I followed from a healthy cook book. I guess some tastebuds like it and others don't." |

I only use turkey mince and you get used to it. It used to be so hard to get hold of.
I never have it on it's own so it takes on the flavour of the sauce.
A crumbled stock cube or glob of Bovril works a treat to 'beef' it up. |

The ‘less than 5% fat’ minced beef or minced pork is fine for healthy eating & tastes good too
Quorn tastes like cardboard |

It’s not bad I think. When I was bodybuilding, I used to eat bowls full of it, covered in low sugar brown sauce |

also to be healthy variety is your key not removal of one food
I will say my 2 secret healthy flavour enhancers
add chorizo
roast your onions, peppers , sweet potato , courgette

I didn't eat the mince without adding veg or spices. It just tastes rubbery. |

Iceland have 'less than 5% fat' beef mince.
Personally tend to use more quorn or soya mince with loads of herbs & spices / sauces now. Not completely veggie but I guess I could easily become veggie if I wanted to |
