How can I make/share a calender with other people?

We only need acces to events that are relevant to each other (children’s holidays etc) and no slip ups with swinging stuff. I know we can ‘invite’ but it needs to be instant.

Is that possible?

I don’t think it is possible, I believe that you have to invite them so wouldn’t be instant unless already on there
