Are you ready for winter?

Are you prepared? Have you got your heating on, antifreeze checked in the car, thermals out of storage and pullovers at the ready? Or are you more the sort that waits. till frost is on the ground before you do anything?

Always ready

I have a folding shovel in the car, food for 3 people for 24 hrs, bottled water, camping cooker, tow straps, warm coat, spare pair of woolly socks and boots.

It just stays in the car 365 days a year. The only thing missing is the damn heater in the car doesn't work!!!

East Grinstead

Being out chopping back shrubs and trees in the garden, gained a few more fire loads of wood in the process.

It doesn't even feel that cold yet. I went to the shops in my flip flops yesterday. The heating hasn't been on this year yet either. I do keep a sleeping bag in my car but I do that all year round, just in case

Yep, Scotland proved too cold for me. Thankfully my mum blasts the heating on for me when I visit and makes lots of leek and potato soup to keep me warm

Just spent a night under canvas, my new Dutch pyramid tent, with a heater and an electric under-blanket, and it was very nice and cosy!

Can't wait to spend the Christmas weekend camping!

So in that respect, I am ready!

bought myself a new lambswool jumper yesterday

last years have been relegated to round the house slobwear

either they have got bigger or i have shrunk - 1 of the 2 !

all other stuff can wait - i know exactly what drawer the thermals are in though !

Have heard the temperature is going to drop rapidly this week, now do I change over to the winter duvet now or chance it and leave the thin one on for a bit longer?

Well if you get chilly and need some extra body heat, I need only an hours notice.
