If you have a blanket block in your mailbox to certain genders/ ages then the people you banter with in the forums won't be able to mail you.
Assuming you don't mind people mailing you about the forums, if you send them a mail first they or add them as friends they become unblocked.
If people do have the blanket ban on and don't unblock you, then please don't use the forums to get them to unblock, as it is against rules.
