Or so some on the forum say...
Single men post threads all the time asking why they can't get meets and they are slagged off like mad.
And they're still getting slagged off now on a thread by a woman that can't get meets.
Why do women join Fab if they hate men? |

I personally love single men but I think it's because they see it has instant sex as someone said above. It's like they come on and expect to just be offered on a place like we're all easy. And you have to remember although this site caters for all types it is a swingers site so it's not necessarily aimed at single men looking for single women. There are other places for that. |

A lot do. I'd a guy mail me yesterday asking advice on meeting girls. Why he mailed me I have no idea. He is from the same town as me. But I told him get to know the women by talking to them and don't send them dick pics, and he was like
"fuck that I just want a wham bam thank you mam"
So with attitudes like of guys mailing women that I think women don't start off hating men, but after the first few hundred emails they get in the first day of joining they hate them. |

Yup and for this reason I never mail women first.
I actually advised a girl who I knew who was joining this site to set up her profile log out and wait a week before logging back in. Delete every mail and start fresh. It clears out the clutter of the crazy influx of mails that overwhelms new women to the site.
Sure as a man on my first day I had 50 mails from so called straight guys looking to suck me off. I actually stopped using the site and only recently came back on here. |

I don't think it's a man thing, or a woman thing, or a couples thing, or specific to any gender identity. Some people join with wildly unrealistic expectations of what the site is, or how they can use it best for them, and the ensuing disappointment can lead to exasperation, either through lack of response or receiving too many dubious messages. If they also lack empathy and can't stop to think how the site might work and cause frustrations for someone of a different gender then the bitterness snowballs since their situation won't be resolved because they haven't changed what isn't working for them as a result. I reckon. |

I joined Fab thinking I would find intelligent, mature, sexually enlightened men.
I found the absolute opposite.
The sexist nonsense that I read daily is frightening.
I dont hate men. I do laugh at alot of them though

As one of the single men to recently join the site i find this thread really fascinating.
From the brief time here it's clear many men think its a knocking shop for an easy lay and get frustrated, send crappy messages and create a cycle of abuse and mistrust.
I suppose as the experienced members, do you think there is a solution? Even a partial one.
Some are here (myself included) for genuine long term reasons. Surely these are the people to keep the community going over time, how would you encourage those single men? (Outside of the standard verifications etc)

What does annoy me is, when a guy messages me telling me to meet him without seeing what he looks like. Erm no. This isn't blind date!  lol.
Or the other types having ago at me because I want a quick social first. Starting on me saying im a timewaster and i need to get off fab and join a dating site! No I don't want to date. A simple coffee (even for an hour) whilst I'll pay for my own isn't a date!

Well theres nothing wring with a coffee for a first date, much easier than a meal and gives you chance to talk without any time commitments.... which is why it also works well for socials. Better than bar too as your both sober.
I agree that everyone should put their safety first, there too many nutters around.
My experiance is fab suffers alot of people asking for things they are not prepared to do themselves ie must have face pic when no pics themselves or no dick pics when every pic on their profile is of their pussy.
Of course not everyone on here is like that and i've met some nice people. Tbe hardest part of the whole process is getting someone to look past the picture and see the person. |

I like married ones best though (ducks quick to avoid missiles) but I,'ve met some cool single guys. The hide your verifications bit is there to use and no one has to accept a verification in the first instance. I suspect the reason people don't meet members with lots of verifications is they think it's more risky. And persons not interested in clubs ect may avoid people who are. There's good singles and bad singles on here of all sexuality,/ couples. The most polite I find are TVs/CDs. XXX |

Not all women join here to meet men. That is a massive assumption you have made. Some like myself meet women and couples only. I am under no illusions that there are some good guys out there (Ive played with a few over the years), but my general point of view is that the standard of men on here is dire (and declining). Idiotic pushy single men do not spoil it for others! They are really easy to avoid/ ignore/ block. I think it's these women that insist it's polite to read and respond to everything that comes into their box that have the problems. I don't encounter rudeness or pushiness because I only read and reply to the messages I like the look of. And I receive no hassle ever. And encounter no abuse. But apparently that makes me rude and ignorant and up my own arse, but at least my fab experience is a happy fun one and I don't need to spend my time on here moaning about how crap the men are. It's not just the men that is crap it's the way people don't take control of their time on here properly.  |

People are people, you get pushy men and pushy females on here, we have had the odd abusive email when we say no thanks and that includes some from females. Most guys are polite when we reject them as they are expecting it and some are just greatful to get a reply which in many ways is sad.
Females on the other hand are used to being worshipped on here so it come as a bit of a shock to some when somebody says no.
Just compare the many threads on here and see how different the advice is to guys than it is to females |

I reply to all first messages and very rarely get abuse. I get replies saying it's a change for someone to send a nice reply. The rude men are generally only rude because they constantly get ignored.

I don't encounter rudeness or pushiness because I only read and reply to the messages I like the look of. And I receive no hassle ever. And encounter no abuse. But apparently that makes me rude and ignorant and up my own arse, but at least my fab experience is a happy fun one and I don't need to spend my time on here moaning about how crap the men are. It's not just the men that is crap it's the way people don't take control of their time on here properly.

I reply to all first messages and very rarely get abuse. I get replies saying it's a change for someone to send a nice reply. The rude men are generally only rude because they constantly get ignored.
Some men think that the site is fuck n go but I can't blame them for thinking that, considering the pics and text on some profiles.
