All road users should have insurance and pass a test
Jump to: Newest in thread
Just to move the 'discussion' out of the cycling thread!
The cry was that ALL road users should have insurance, pass a test and pay vehicle excise duty (which of course would be precisely £0 for anything not emitting air polluting gases).
All users, including pedestrians? They cause a fair few accidents dint they. |

I think all drivers should spend a year on a bike before they can drive a car....to know how a vulnerable road user feels.
.....from a non cyclist! |

It's okay to think it but it would be a nonsensical rule to put into force.

Most drivers did spend their childhood riding bikes. I even earned my cycle proficiency test.
The problem with many cyclists on our roads today is they never grew out of childhood and still ride like maniacs on the road. |

Good idea. Even if it's just an hour not a year. |
